About Us

Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) is an independent and autonomous body under the Government of Uttarakhand to guide and monitor various projects and provide expert inputs, monitor, evaluate and execute State’s IT initiatives and projects.In order to achieve the goal of Digital Uttarakhand, ITDA will guide and monitor various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects for the implementation. The Government of Uttarakhand intends to harness the full power of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for improving the quality of life of its citizens, bring in accelerated social and economic development, ensure transparency in the Government decisions, accelerate the IT adoption amongst various user segments – all leading to an ideal e-society model through efficient, Service oriented, cost-effective, information networked, eco-conscious, and with year-on-year growth approach.

Objectives

Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) is an independent and autonomous body under the Government of Uttarakhand to propel the growth of Information Technology in Uttarakhand State and implement the e-Governance Project. ITDA has the following objectives.

Provide IT inputs

To provide IT inputs to government departments and to assist them in computerisation and networking.

Co-ordinate with investors

To co-ordinate with investors, industry,trade organizations and financial institutions in public and private sector so as to promote growth in the IT sector.

Facilitate Human Resource

To facilitate Human Resource Development in the field of IT in the Government.

Encourage Information Technology

To encourage Information Technology related activities and innovations in the state.To encourage Information Technology related activities and innovations in the state.

Undertake all works

To undertake all works related to the promotion of Information Education & Communication and usage of Information Technology (IT), Information Technology enabled Services (ITeS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Electronics in the State.

Functions

To achieve the objectives, the ITDA, established there under shall carry out the following functions:

To undertake all activities that may be necessary for the implementation of the project and in particular for the achievement of the objectives.
To coordinate and monitor the activities for implementation of the project;
Develop and periodically review the e-Governance agenda of Uttarakhand;
Ensure that each project is in line with the e-Governance agenda;
Monitor the progress of the various projects and ensure that the project is on mission critical mode;
Ensure coordination and dovetailing between various projects;
Provide expert inputs on critical matters and facilitate decisions on any critical issues;
Highlight progress/key issues to Steering -Committee/GoUA and facilitate resolution of the same;
